BASTET LOVES…Nature!
Kemet is the correct name for what we call Ancient Egypt. The name translates to “Black Land” due to the fertile soil on the banks of the Nile River and the Sun-kissed complexion of the inhabitants of the Nile Valley. Nature played an essential role in Kemet; with plants, flowers and animals symbolizing various meanings throughout the land. The most familiar of these include the Lotus (Lilly Flowers), papyrus reeds, bees and honey, and birds. The inhabitants would use items found in nature to enhance food, medicine and adornments for celebrations.
Bastet recommends always staying connected to nature by visiting parks, botanical gardens and getting some natural sunlight. Bastet suggests planting your own gardens and using the items for food and fragrance. The items below are recommended based on the traditions used in Kemet!
